IWalked Boston’s Boston Beer Works
Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins fans will no doubt be familiar with Canal Street. As the most popular street of pubs before and after games at the nearby TD Garden, it is a popular thoroughfare. A fairly recent waterhole addition to this area (dating back to 2000) is the microbrewery, The Boston Beer Works. Red Sox fans similarly enjoy this pub as another location is situated right outside of Fenway Park.
Boston Beer Works has a lot of space with over 16,000 square feet and two floors. On the second level you will also find one of the few places in Boston where you can still pick up a cue and play a game of pool. When the weather cooperates (which it does on occasion in Boston) you can enjoy their outdoor patio.
Now as mentioned this is a microbrewery so they only serve their own homemade brands, of which there is no shortage of varieties or quantity. Per one website, Boston Beer Works brews over 3,500 barrels of beer a year (equivalent to 868,000 pints if you’re curious).
The building in which Boston Beer Works currently calls home was actually a former old army barracks.
